This temporary Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the Extended School Year (ESY) session from early July through early August. It offers a focused chance to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a contract role.

Key qualifications and requirements: Active Virginia Special Education teaching license Experience working with students across a broad age range, elementary through secondary Ability to commit to the ESY timeframe, including prep days prior to instruction Location and schedule details: Based in Manassas, VA Contract dates: July 1 through August 1, including prep on July 1, 2, and a half-day on July 3 Instruction from July 7 to August 1, approximately 5 hours daily for elementary and 5.5 hours for secondary levels Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instructional support tailored to individual student needs during ESY Prepare lesson plans and materials during designated prep days Monitor student progress and collaborate with educational teams to provide appropriate services Benefits of this role: Opportunity to gain experience in an ESY setting while working with diverse age groups Potential to renew and continue for the 2025-2026 school year Competitive contract position within a supportive educational environment Qualified candidates with an active Virginia Special Education license seeking a professional ESY teaching contract are encouraged to apply.
