A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Denmark, SC, for the upcoming school year. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support to 4th-grade students with diverse learning needs in a resource room environment. Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student learning and progress. Monitor student performance and maintain accurate records in compliance with special education regulations. Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings. Support Extended School Year (ESY) programs as offered. Qualifications and Experience: Valid Special Education Teaching certification. Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a resource room setting. Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and instructional strategies. Ability to modify curriculum to meet individual student needs. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Location: Denmark, SC Additional Details: Work schedule is 40 hours per week. ESY opportunities are available for special education staff. This is a contract position covering the regular school year with no current Vocational Rehabilitation (Voco) involvement.
