We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
to join our school team in
Kent, Washington . The SLP will work collaboratively with educators, support staff, and families to assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience in school settings and a passion for helping students reach their full communicative potential. Key Responsibilities
Provide screening, evaluation, and diagnosis of speech, language, and communication disorders.
Develop and implement
Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services in individual or group settings.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with IDEA and district policies.
Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and parent conferences as needed.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to support student learning goals.
Educate students, staff, and parents on speech-language issues and communication strategies.
Provide services in accordance with California Department of Education (CDE) and ASHA standards.
Qualifications
Masters Degree
in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Valid
California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential
or Clinical or Temporary SLP License
Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
Knowledge of IDEA, IEP process, and school-based documentation practices
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
