Job Description
A national law firm seeks a Legal Administrative Assistant to support three attorneys handling complex litigation, primarily product liability defense. This role requires strong organizational skills and experience with federal and state e-filings. This role is hybrid with 3 days on-site in Hartford, CT.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and litigation support, including drafting and proofreading legal documents and correspondence.
Perform federal and state e-filings and manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and travel arrangements.
Prepare motions, briefs, agreements, subpoenas, and maintain accurate records, time entry, and client billing.
Interact professionally with clients, court personnel, and internal teams.
Assist in training or mentoring junior staff as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of litigation support, defense side preferred; product liability experience a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal time-entry systems; strong knowledge of federal and state e-filing procedures.
Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Legal administrative or paralegal certifications may substitute for experience.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $65,000 – $102,000 annually
PTO: 20 days annually
