Job Summary:
San Bruno Park School District is seeking a compassionate and skilled
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
to provide support services to K8 students under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The COTA will help implement individualized therapy plans and collaborate with educational teams to support students' functional participation in school environments. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising OT
Support students in areas including fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and handwriting
Work one-on-one or in small groups with students across general and special education settings
Assist with data collection, documentation, and progress monitoring
Participate in IEP meetings and staff collaboration as needed
Communicate with teachers and staff to support integration of therapy strategies into the classroom
Travel between school sites within the district, if applicable
Qualifications:
Valid California COTA License
(required)
Previous pediatric or school-based experience
preferred
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong communication and organizational skills
CPR certification (preferred)
Schedule & Work Setting:
3 days per week (flexible scheduling available)
Total: 21 hours per week
Assigned to serve students in grades K8
School-site based in San Bruno, CA
Compensation & Perks:
Competitive hourly rate (DOE)
Mileage reimbursement if traveling between sites
