A K-12 school in Tyler, Texas is seeking a dedicated onsite school psychologist for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) involves providing comprehensive psychological services to support student learning, behavior, and emotional well-being within the school community. The role is contract-based for the upcoming school year.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group psychological assessments to evaluate students cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs
Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement intervention plans
Provide counseling and support to students facing academic or social challenges
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including special education eligibility and individualized education program (IEP) development
Maintain detailed and accurate records of evaluations and interventions following state and district guidelines
Offer professional guidance on school-wide mental health promotion and crisis intervention strategies
Qualifications:
Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist
Experience working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade
Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and educational laws/regulations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with students, families, and staff
Ability to manage caseloads and deliver timely reports and recommendations
