A K-12 educational institution in Ringgold, GA is seeking a skilled professional to serve as a Counselor or Mental Health Therapist for the upcoming contract school year (CSY). This position offers an opportunity to provide essential mental health support and guidance to students in a dynamic school environment, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and group counseling sessions tailored to the developmental needs of K-12 students.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies that support student mental health and academic success.
Assist in crisis intervention and provide referrals to external mental health resources when necessary.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and progress.
Participate in professional development activities and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Foster a supportive environment that encourages student growth, resilience, and positive decision-making.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Relevant certification or licensure as a Counselor, Guidance Counselor, or Mental Health Therapist.
Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality.
Capacity to provide onsite support; willingness to participate in virtual blended delivery (VBD) if necessary.
