A healthcare facility in Palmdale, CA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position focused on providing in-person services during the 2024-2025 academic year. This role involves delivering specialized speech therapy services primarily to pediatric clients, with a significant focus on students diagnosed with Autism. The position requires collaboration with the Virtual Behaviorist Department (VBD) and may involve coordination with Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).

Key Responsibilities: Provide direct speech and language therapy to pediatric patients, including students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Implement individualized treatment plans based on speech-language evaluations. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including working alongside behavioral specialists. Document therapy sessions and progress notes accurately in compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of intervention strategies. Maintain open communication with caregivers and educators regarding treatment goals and progress. Qualifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology. Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, particularly in school or healthcare settings. Comfort and proficiency working with students on the Autism spectrum. Ability to deliver therapy in an in-person setting. Familiarity with teletherapy methods is a plus, though this role is primarily in-person. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is preferred. Knowledge of and willingness to support the role of SLPAs is desirable.
