A full-time Speech Language Pathologist position is available to provide essential support to K-12 students during a short-term leave assignment. This contract role is based in Boston, MA, and offers a dynamic caseload ranging from ages 3 to 20. The position requires expertise in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) to effectively support diverse student needs.
Key Qualifications:
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
Current SLP certification for school settings
Experience working within K-12 educational environments
Proficiency in assessing and implementing AAC strategies
Ability to manage a full-time caseload of students aged 3-20
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized speech and language therapy services to students across early childhood through high school
Develop, implement, and maintain IEP goals in collaboration with educators and families
Utilize AAC tools and methods to enhance communication skills for students with complex communication needs
Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and adjust therapy plans accordingly
Maintain thorough documentation and comply with district and state requirements
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
