School Physical Therapist (PT)

Job Type:
Full-Time (On-Site Only) We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Physical Therapist to provide a full range of physical therapy services to students with disabilities within a school setting. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support student success and help them access their education. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments to identify students' needs and develop individualized education programs (IEPs).
Provide direct and indirect physical therapy services to students, addressing gross motor skills, mobility, strength, balance, and coordination.
Develop and implement treatment plans that align with students' educational goals.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate physical therapy goals into the classroom and home environments.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, treatment plans, and evaluations.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals and objectives.
Provide training and support to school staff on topics such as proper lifting techniques, adaptive equipment use, and positioning.
Stay current on best practices and advancements in pediatric physical therapy.
Qualifications: Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
Strong understanding of federal and state special education laws and regulations.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
