We are currently seeking passionate and qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to join our team and support students for a school district that is in Chicago, IL
Position Overview: As a School-Based COTA, you will work collaboratively with occupational therapists and school staff to support students with diverse needs. Your role will involve implementing therapeutic interventions, assisting with assessments, and promoting student independence in daily activities.
Pay Range: $32-$37 an hour , contingent on the candidate's overall amount of experience practicing as a COTA, how much ofthatwas spent directly practicing in schools, and how much experience the candidate has treating the pediatric population as well!
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy programs. Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in various settings. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support. Document student progress and maintain accurate records. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
Qualifications: Valid Associate's Degree as a CertifiedOccupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). CurrentIllinois State Issued COTA licensure or eligibility for licensure. Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
