Soliant Education is seeking
two qualified Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs)
to support students nearMaple Grove, MN for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a full-time, onsite contract position with a respected school district. The TVIs will provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments, ensuring access to the general education curriculum and functional independence. Caseload Details:
Caseload Size:
Approximately 2530 students each
Disabilities:
Primarily students with visual impairments; some may have secondary or tertiary disabilities
Number of School Buildings:
34
Responsibilities:
Provide instruction and services to students with visual impairments as outlined in IEPs
Adapt educational materials and strategies to accommodate visual needs
Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP development and progress monitoring
Train and support staff on accessibility tools and strategies
Travel between multiple school buildings as needed
Maintain documentation and adhere to district and state guidelines
Requirements:
Valid Minnesota teaching license with certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
Previous experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
Ability to work with a diverse caseload, including students with multiple disabilities
Strong communication and organizational skills
Reliable transportation to travel between schools
Must be comfortable with onsite work
