Dynavac is in search of an experienced Warehouse Associate - Receiver. Our headquarters and manufacturing facility are located in Hingham, MA and we have another manufacturing facility in Rockland, MA. The ideal candidate will work between locations.

Receiving is the primary responsibility while the role is part of the Dynavac Warehouse Team and includes all warehouse tasks including shipping, kitting, inventory transactions. The successful candidate will have the skills and initiative to contribute to the team and interface with all entities and management levels of the company. This position impacts the efficient flow of material and throughput throughout the facility.

Dynavac builds custom high vacuum process capital equipment for satellite testing and thin film coatings. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*

  • Assist, support and backfill for all warehouse functions and related projects.
  • Focus on Quality and Safety in all activities
  • Receiving materials and goods physically and within our Epicor (ERP system - enterprise resource planning)
  • Putting received material and goods away accurately
  • Order picking/ transacting and delivery to internal customers
  • Packing and processing outbound shipments
  • Inventory transactions and validation
  • Kitting for project orders
  • Cycle counting
  • Participation in annual physical inventory
  • Reconcile and resolve inventory discrepancies within ERP system
  • Run daily reports, assist, support or execute actionable output
  • Maintain a safe and clean workplace environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Complete Material Movement Form, marking of inventoried product, ensuring storage location labeling is intact, etc.
  • Picking and staging Internal and External Customer Requirements
  • This position will also Serve as a Flex Resource for supporting tasks in Fabrication and Machine Shop as well as other Ad Hoc support
  • Other related work as required including stock counts, planning and participating in production reviews, shipping, receiving.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & SKILLS

  • Associate Degree or High School Diploma along with relevant work experience
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning software (ERP) - Epicor a plus
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles, a plus
  • Experience in a project-based manufacturing environment, a plus
  • Ability to read prints/drawings
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs unassisted, with mechanical aids available.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 50 lbs, with the assistance of at least one other worker and mechanical aids.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs, with the assistance of at least two other workers and mechanical aids.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach and move about the facility.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • Work time to be split between two local sites (Hingham/Rockland) with occasional travel between sites.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils.
  • Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment with significant outdoor exposure.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ordinary requirements found in a warehouse and shop floor work environment. Intermittent outdoor activity. OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) facility with inherent manufacturing hazards.
