Responsibilities

The Multimodal Imaging Genetics Lab is actively seeking candidates with a strong background in population genetics and bioinformatics. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and other large-scale genetic datasets to uncover genetic architecture and mechanisms underlying complex diseases. The incumbent will exercise strong IT judgement, data quality and integrity management skills to accelerate computational workflows in genomics.

  • Analyze and interpret large-scale genomics analyses, including GWAS, sequencing, and transcriptomic datasets, to identify genetic variants associated with complex diseases under the guidance of a faculty mentor.

  • Contribute to the design and execution of genetic studies, including data harmonization and meta-analyses.

  • Develop and implement statistical models and bioinformatics pipelines for genetic association studies and polygenic risk score analyses.

  • Ensure data integrity and protect data at all times.

  • Follow organizational policies and procedures around extraction and delivery of data requests for research-based efforts.

  • Provide analysis of data and systems, including functional and technical documentation.

  • Assist in delivering tasks to improve workflow availability, security, compliance, and performance.
