Responsibilities
- Preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations.
- Analyzing financial documents and records to identify tax-related implications and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Providing strategic tax planning advice to help minimize tax liabilities and potential risks.
- Conducting research on tax laws and regulations to stay updated on the latest changes that could impact the company's financial operations.
- Collaborating with other finance team members to streamline tax preparation processes and improve financial reporting.
- Assisting with tax audits and resolving any discrepancies or issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Preparing and presenting clear, concise, and comprehensive tax reports to management.
- Providing excellent customer service to clients by answering tax-related questions and providing expert advice.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in tax accounting or a related field with a strong focus on tax preparation.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations, as well as experience with tax return preparation.
- Proficiency in tax software and other accounting software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- A strong sense of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
