Responsibilities

The Delivery Driver will pick up and drop off automotive parts, adhere to assigned routes and time schedules, ensure orders are properly fulfilled, and provide excellent customer service with a focus on safety.

To succeed as a Delivery Driver, you should be polite, prompt, a team player, and committed to providing customers with an excellent experience.

• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly and courteous manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
• Follow dispatcher directions, adhere to routes and schedules, use navigation apps, and know the area to deliver on time.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service, address questions, and handle complaints professionally.
• Abide by transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Accept payments, prepare reports (invoices, return forms), and reconcile money collected related to deliveries.
• Complete daily maintenance checks on company delivery vehicle when required and report issues.
• Assist with other store/warehouse duties (stock, parts pulling) as assigned.
• Maintain and promote workplace safety.
• Secure and transfer cash or other assets as applicable.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Current, valid driver’s license
• Meet company insurance requirements (drivers must be 21 years old or over)
• Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds; Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers must be able to lift 75 lbs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to manage, track and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances
• Ability to use a tablet or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking and customer interface/signature capture
• Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills; professional, tactful, and diplomatic
• Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of a team
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed (preferred)
• Previous delivery driving experience is a plus

All listed minimum requirements and qualifications must be met to be eligible to drive for Parts Authority.
