CLARENDAL SIX CORNERS is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Caregiver to join our team!
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Caregiver:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist all residents/clients with high-quality personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, vital signs, and height and weight checks per policy.
- Make all beds in the morning, turn down beds in the evening, and change bed linens weekly or as needed.
- Complete resident’s personal laundry as assigned.
- Change flat linens per shift as assigned.
- Assist residents during mealtime, including cutting food and encouraging eating.
- Utilize community-specific programs and components.
- Promote a calm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Complete and document shift assignments; report incomplete tasks to nursing supervisor.
- Report any unusual resident behavior or status changes to the nurse on duty and the Director of Health Services.
- Provide activities as planned or directed.
- Document resident status as per policy.
- Respond promptly to call lights and emergencies.
- Provide emergency care within scope of practice.
- Follow community policies and procedures.
- Support a culture of hospitality that drives revenue and occupancy, embodying the LCS Hospitality Promises.
GENERAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Practice hospitality by greeting residents, visitors, and colleagues warmly, respectfully, and professionally.
- Anticipate needs, listen attentively, and respond enthusiastically.
- Hold oneself and others accountable.
- Pay attention to details and maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One year of experience as a CNA/PCA/HHA/RA preferred.
- Experience in assisted living or memory care preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in English reading, writing, and communication.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions.
- Problem-solving skills with standardized situations.
- Willingness to be available for emergencies.
Many roles may require vaccination status checks, including MMR, chickenpox, hepatitis, flu, etc.
