We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team at a corn processing facility. The role involves working with power components and executing both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance ensuring the power supply is consistent and reliable.
  • Handle electrical tasks up to 480 Volts.
  • Wire and unwire motors and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Run conduit and understand the use of a multimeter.
  • Work on MCC Buckets, including changing out breaker boxes, fuses, E3s, sensors, photo eyes, control panels, monitors, and various HP motors and lighting.
  • Follow OHSA standards, particularly lockout/tag out procedures.
  • Execute daily work orders and perform preventive maintenance, addressing issues as they arise.

Essential Skills
  • Ability to work with up to 480 Volts.
  • Experience in wiring/unwiring motors.
  • Knowledge of OHSA standards.
  • Experience with AC/DC drivers.
  • Proficiency in using a multimeter.
  • Understanding of conduit running and troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Journeyman electrician certification is a plus.
  • Experience with measurement tools such as micrometers.
  • Basic knowledge of wiring and motor operation.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work independently.

Work Environment

The position is based at a corn processing facility, requiring the completion of five 8-hour shifts. The role includes working independently, particularly on Fridays, and requires flexibility to handle both preventative and emergency maintenance tasks as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Paris, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $36.00/hr.
