Job Title: Traveling Journeyman Electrician
Project Duration: 2 years
Pay: Competitive hourly rate + $100/day per diem (for days worked)
Schedule: 60 hours/week, Monday-Saturday (10-hour days)
Location: Travel-based (must be able to reciprocate license to Iowa)
Job Overview
We are hiring a Licensed Journeyman Electrician for a long-term, travel-based project involving electrical infrastructure installation across various job sites. This position offers significant overtime, $100/day per diem, and the opportunity to work with a safety-focused team on high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities
Install raceways, conduit systems, and cable trays per design and code requirements
Terminate motors and motor control systems
Pull and route wire and cable according to project plans
Install and terminate transformers, bus duct, switchgear, and motor control centers
Maintain accurate documentation (QA sign-offs, customer approvals)
Interpret electrical codes, blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
Execute work with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality
Essential Skills
Strong math skills for accurate measurements and calculations
Proficient in precise cuts and layout construction
Ability to work independently and responsibly
Commitment to safety training and compliance
Qualifications
Licensed Journeyman Electrician (must be able to reciprocate to Iowa)
Experience in electrical construction, conduit installation, troubleshooting, and wiring
Ability to read blueprints, safety rules, and technical manuals
Willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime
Work Environment
PPE required
Outdoor conditions, mechanical parts, heights, and loud environments
Exposure to wet/humid conditions, fumes, and airborne particles
