Scope of Position

Responsible for various functions within Human Resources including recruitment, benefits, compensation, HRIS, etc. Provide internal and external customer service. Responds to inquiries regarding company policies, procedures and programs related to all aspects of Human Resources. Liaison with various vendors and providers. Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws. Support the organization’s mission, vision, and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: Honesty, Excellence, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork.

Essential Job Functions

  • Adhere to format, content and style guidelines, giving consideration to usability and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Collaborate with leadership within the Human Resources department regarding process improvement, service levels and customer service initiatives.
  • Collaborate with management in development, maintenance and implementation of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Communicate needs and requests to other team members as appropriate.
  • Compile data and prepare various activity and specialized reports.
  • Coordinate employee relations activities as requested.
  • Coordinate employee training sessions as assigned or requested.
  • Coordinate employment advertising and job postings.
  • Develop policies and procedures as requested or directed.
  • Enter and maintain personnel actions in HRIS database, while ensuring data is accurate and current.
  • Follow AFMC, state and federal protocols regarding data confidentiality/security and HIPAA compliance.
  • Management of vendors including documentation, enrollment/termination, reconciliation of invoices, problem resolution, etc.
  • Perform routine audits of files, work products, data base, etc.
  • Provide internal and external customer service including policy interpretation, problem resolution and general assistance.
  • Recruit and onboard individuals with the right combination of experience, education and skill to fill AFMC’s job openings and have the greatest potential to become valuable additions to the future of the organization.
  • Coordinate recruiting activities with other team members as requested.
  • Consult with appropriate management to gather information about new positions to design new job descriptions.
  • Assist in support and training in the proper use of human resources systems and related products.
  • Acquire deep knowledge of human resources systems and bringing efficient and effective changes for better performance.
  • Responsible for serving on Privacy and Security Oversight Team.
  • Supports the AFMC privacy and security processes / procedures by ensuring risks are being managed appropriately.
  • Implements and monitors privacy and security policies / procedures across AFMC to protect sensitive information for the organization and for our Customers as required by contractual obligations, federal and state regulations.
  • Serve as back up to other Human Resources staff members, as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Intermediate skill level with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

Education and Experience

Education:
Required: High School Diploma
Desirable: Associate’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or related field

Experience:
Required: Two (2) to Three (3) years’ experience in a Human Resources department or related field
Desirable: Experience with human resource information system. Experience in a HR specialty area such as Recruitment, Benefits, Compensation or HRIS
