We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist with experience in the hospitality industry and union environments to join our team in Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, union agreements, and labor laws, while helping foster a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related matters, including grievances, disputes, and union-related concerns. Ensure that all issues are handled professionally and in compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in recruiting, screening, and onboarding new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for new team members. Manage job postings, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers.
- Union Collaboration: Collaborate with union representatives, handle union-related documentation, and ensure compliance with union agreements and labor laws.
- Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws, union regulations, and employment best practices. Ensure all HR practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as union contracts.
- HR Administration: Manage employee records, track attendance, assist with payroll coordination, and handle benefits administration. Update HR databases and generate reports as needed.
- Training & Development: Coordinate employee training programs, assist with professional development initiatives, and support employee retention strategies.
- Conflict Resolution: Assist in the resolution of employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance issues in collaboration with department managers and union representatives.
- Policy Implementation: Help implement HR policies and procedures.
- Experience: 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably in a hospitality setting with union exposure.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of labor relations, union contracts, and labor laws (experience with hospitality unions a plus).
- Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
