A full-time Social Worker position is available to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Cass City, MI. Responsibilities include: Providing social work services primarily to middle school students (grades 3-6) and supporting high school students (grades 7-12) as needed Collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to address students social, emotional, and behavioral needs Conducting assessments, individual and group counseling, and crisis interventions Developing and implementing intervention plans to support student development and attendance Assisting with case management and connecting students and families to community resources Supporting the existing social worker until maternity leave begins and possibly maintaining assistance during the leave period Qualifications and desired experience: Professional social work license or eligibility to practice in the school setting Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in middle and high school environments Strong skills in student advocacy, counseling, and crisis management Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school personnel Excellent communication and organizational abilities Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning community The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, onsite at the middle and high school campuses. This role involves a caseload concentrated on middle school grades 3-6, with flexibility to support high school students when necessary. This position offers the chance to contribute directly to student success during a critical period while working alongside experienced school professionals.
