We are seeking a licensed and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our remote education team. This is a 1099 independent contractor role, providing virtual instruction and support to K-12 students residing in Vermont. The ideal candidate is experienced, tech-savvy, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with exceptional needs. Responsibilities
Provide virtual instruction and case management to students with IEPs.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families.
Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and communication logs.
Attend and contribute to virtual IEP meetings, staff meetings, and training sessions.
Requirements
Active Vermont Special Education Teaching License (required)
Minimum 1 year of experience working in special education (remote experience is a plus)
Familiarity with IEP writing, compliance, and progress monitoring
Comfortable using virtual learning tools and platforms
Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently
Compensation
