A full-time Special Education teaching position is available for a middle school setting, supporting 6th-grade students in a resource classroom environment. This contract role is scheduled for the new school year and offers 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet the individual needs of 6th-grade students within a resource classroom. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to maximize learning outcomes. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to student performance and compliance with state education standards. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and social development. Qualifications and Experience: Valid teaching certification in Special Education. Experience working with middle school students, preferably 6th grade. Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education laws. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to adapt instructional materials and methods to meet diverse learning needs.
