A contract position is available for a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Hempstead, TX. This role is ideal for professionals holding credentials as an SLP with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), an SLP Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), SLP School certification, or currently practicing as an SLPA. Position Details: Contract duration: Approximately October 1, 2025, through May 2, 2026 Scheduled hours: 18 to 21 hours per week Workdays: 2.5 to 3 days per week Primary locations: Middle and high schools with occasional support at the elementary school Caseload: Middle school (~8 students), high school (~14 students), elementary school (~10 students) Key Responsibilities: Conduct speech evaluations and provide speech therapy services to assigned students. Maintain accurate and timely records, including required paperwork. Participate actively in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. Collaborate regularly with educational staff to support student communication goals. Qualifications: SLP with CCC or CFY, school-certified SLP, or licensed SLPA eligible to work in school settings. Experience with speech evaluation and therapy across multiple age groups (elementary to high school). Strong organizational skills for documentation and meeting participation. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
