Position Summary Under moderate supervision, assist with the provision of daily direction, administration and supervision of the recruitment staff and student ambassadors. Coordinates the operations and support functions of the Recruitment team. Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Recruitment:

Coordinate, implement, and participate in visits to high schools, businesses in the community, and other college sponsored and/or approved recruitment events. Maintain and update inventory of marketing and recruitment travel pieces including but not limited to signage, publications, and swag. Presents information sessions in a variety of settings and lime allotments with targeted information for varied audiences.

Planning & Development:

Maintain the Recruitment Plan each year. Create, implement, and chair a recruitment committee on campus to discuss upcoming events. Assist in the analysis of recruitment goals with data-based reports. Communicate with all levels of the organization, including project team, steering committees, and executive leadership.

Data Management:

Retrieve and analyze data to prepare and submit reports as needed by the Dean of Student Services, Division Chairs, the Executive Vice President, and other institution constituencies. Use a variety of computer software to organize retention resources and related data, compose and prepare correspondence, create reports, and other materials.

Communication:

Oversee the use of current department technology to collect and report data, and to implement communication flows. Communicate routinely through email, calls, in person visits, and events with prospective students, families, high school, counselors, and other key stakeholders across campus.

Campus Tours:

Hire, train and supervise student staff and full-time staff. Provide campus tours to prospective students and families, organizations and community members

Event Management:

Research, plan and implement recruitment travel schedule, special admissions events, and assist with marketing campaigns for target groups. Oversee new student orientation.

Publications: Coordinate the publication of admissions marketing materials and update existing materials

Admissions:

Support the Office of Admissions in its effort to admit and enroll students.

Administrative:

Serve as a resource to the Recruitment staff, providing direction on policies and procedures and resolving problems. Assist in collecting quotes for event expenses and manage communication with vendors and suppliers as well as monitor and track budget for project expenses.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Dynamic presence, creativity, and the ability to connect the target audience are essential.

Must possess the ability to communicate with students individually and to present information in a group setting.

Must understand the complexities in relation to non-traditional students.

Has a strong understanding of cultural competency, and how to communicate effectively to different audiences.

Sensitive to the needs of students from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.

Critical thinking and interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple tasks required.

Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Must be able to work independently as a part of a team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires frequent and continuous sitting/moving about, continuous use of fine motor skills, reaching above the shoulders, pushing and pulling of up to 50 lbs with the use of a dolly, and occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs.

SCHEDULE DETAILS:

Must be available to work 40 hrs. per week with normal work hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of two (2) years' experience in higher education environment related to student recruitment and admissions is preferred.

Proficiency in computer applications is desired.

Bilingual preferred.
