Soni is currently looking for a Legal Secretary/Assistant to support the Litigation Department of a global Law Firm. The position will be based in the Firm's New York location. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities:
Provide complex and specialized secretarial and clerical support. Support assigned attorneys and paralegals. Handle various administrative tasks. Maintain good client relationships. Manage incoming and outgoing communications. Organize and maintain files. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in document processing. Assist other secretaries and timekeepers as needed. Prepare documents from various sources (dictation, drafts, notes). Handle telephone calls professionally. Maintain client relationships for attorneys. Manage incoming correspondence and pleadings. Enter time records daily using Intapp. Create and maintain organized files. Complete document processing and correspondence accurately. Assist with new business forms, expense reports, and travel arrangements. Requirements:
2+ years in a law firm environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, and firm applications. Availability for overtime work. Fast and accurate typing skills. Knowledge of court rules and legal terminology. Previous litigation secretarial experience. College degree or business college certificate. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent written, communication, and proofreading skills.
Compensation: $60,000 - 90,000 Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
