IN SUMMARY...

We are seeking an experienced

Technical Project Manager

(TPM) to lead the technical planning and delivery of projects that include EHR implementations, multi vendor system integrations, and digital transformation efforts across hospitals and clinics. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of the technical aspects of healthcare software implementations with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive implementations to completion. Ability to relay complex technical concepts in clear, accessible language to stakeholders, while also understanding and addressing the concerns of developers is critical to the success of this role.

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for understanding the technical design and data flows of Azalea Health's projects. They will lead the orchestration of software design, architecture, and integration points, ensuring that the technological components align well with the project's goals.

WHAT YOU WILL DO...

Work alongside the Enterprise Project Manager to ensure technical requirements for projects are clearly documented and tracked in the project plan, along with identifying the critical path and any dependencies.

Own the planning, design, and delivery of the optimal technical design of the project.

Proactively identify and monitor technical risks on projects and develop solutions and mitigation strategies.

Perform gap analysis on project artifacts and create data flow diagrams and work breakdown structures for integrations and other technical work that is not clearly documented.

Serve as the subject matter expert on technology, evaluate software options, and ensure the proper implementation and maintenance of production technologies.

Direct cross-functional project teams, specifically development and integration resources assigned to the project.

Ensure effective collaboration across both onsite and remote settings.

Liaise with third-party vendors, overseeing contractual deliverables, integration efforts, and compliance with healthcare-specific interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).

Lead technical working sessions between Azalea's team members, clients, and third party vendors.

Champion the implementation methodology, while identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement.

Willingness and ability to travel 20–50% based on project and client needs.

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS YOU WILL BRING...

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in technical project management, software development, IT project delivery, or technical leadership.

Strong understanding of software development life cycle, databases, system architecture, and cybersecurity.

Knowledge of cloud computing and SaaS implementations.

Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools (ex: JIRA, Microsoft Project).

Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and stakeholder communication skills.

Experience with risk management, technical leadership, and quality assurance.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical teams.

High adaptability with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
