Marketing Proposal Coordinator
supports NELSON's practices by working directly with Practice Leaders and Business Development Leaders to create compelling and winning sales tools, bringing NELSON to life for our clients. Your strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and ability to prioritize and handle multiple initiatives, and ability to navigate the internal customer relationship means that you can actively support Senior Practice Leadership in winning work. Candidates must have InDesign and Adobe experience/proficiency, and strong graphic design/production skills.

Strong understanding of the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Persuasive writing and messaging skills including storyboarding and creating differentiating content Understanding the critical position to win questions that are discussed in Go/No Go conversations Ability to identify and seek needed information; research skills Strong project management capabilities to meet milestones on time and in budget, including resource allocation/management Team oriented with ability to perform multiple tasks independently in a timely manner and collaborate effectively and positively with coworkers Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented Exceptional editing skills Ability to adapt to and communicate changes with ease Experience with business development and sales programs and CRM platforms 3-7 years of proposal, writing, and marketing experience in the AEC industry strongly preferred Demonstrated commitment to quality Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud Demonstrated understanding of the SF330/Architect-Engineer Qualifications process (experience preferred). Familiarity with public and institutional clients, including their procurement processes, regulations, and proposal requirements (e.g., local, state, and federal government agencies) Familiarity with Deltek/Vantage Point, HubSpot (or other CRM) as well as analytics platforms to support data-driven decision-making Main Responsibilities:
Partners with and supports practice leader and/or opportunity owner and guides and provides oversight to proposal-assigned marketing employees Leads pursuit teams to develop strategies, assign responsibilities, and manage deadlines while coordinating with teaming partners and responding to external proposal information requests Helps to identify, develop, and message win themes, value proposition, and differentiators, guiding teams (both practice and marketing) in formulating messages Understands critical position-to-win questions that are discussed in Go/No Go conversations Conducts research, tailor supporting materials, and perform quality control reviews of proposals Oversees proposal production, including printing, assembly, and electronic submissions Lead calls with clients, understand marketing strategy, and drive the entire pursuit process Completes prequalification forms, client questionnaires, and qualifying statements as required Prepares and completes standard government and federal forms Ensures proposals adhere to public and institutional client requirements, including local, state, and federal regulations Partners with practice/opportunity owner and Senior Director of Business Development Strategy to formulate, monitor and facilitate capture planning strategy sessions for pursuits Ensures capture plan strategies and win themes are transferred and incorporated through the entire pursuit lifecycle Holds accountability for ensuring positioning activities are discussed and planned Ensures continuity of messaging and win themes from proposal to presentation in conjunction with Senior Director of Business Development Strategy Actively participates in strategy and business development meetings Reviews and edits proposal narratives, providing feedback on improvements with responsibility to ensure proposals are compliant and differentiated to create tailored responses Maintains an understanding of the Civic and Justice market and client team's role in achieving the practice business plan Reviews and understands the practice pursuit pipeline Assists with pursuit tracking and brings knowledge on timing and readiness for practice pursuits Participates in Pipeline Review sessions Remains informed on market and client trends to support positioning activities and competitive intelligence Assists in the day-to-day management of proposal-assigned marketing employees and/or direct reports, in coordination with marketing management Ensures assignment of appropriately skilled marketing and design resources to align to the task and pursuit at hand Actively participates in and/or leads training of pursuit best practices across Sales Marketing team in alignment with practice-aligned counterparts Maintains and updates personnel, project, and pursuit information in the internal and CRM databases Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (preferably Marketing, Business, Journalism/Communications) 3-7 years of proposal, writing, and marketing experience (within the AEC industry strongly preferred) Ability to prioritize and manage time, meet tight deadlines, especially when working independently Strong work ethic and excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign experience preferred, with proficiency a plus) and strong graphic design/production skills Inherent curiosity and resourcefulness to creatively problem-solve Must have InDesign and Adobe experience/proficiency To express interest, please submit a resume and portfolio (or any samples of your work- graphic design and/or layout--proposals or presentations are preferred).

Average Pay Range (regional cost of living, years of relevant experience, certifications, etc. are considered into the hiring process): $25-$35/hour.
