The Business Development Manager will play a key role in expanding Waldom Electronics' presence within the electrical distribution market, driving new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing partners. This individual will focus on identifying growth opportunities, negotiating strategic agreements, and executing go-to-market initiatives that align with Waldom's global vision for supply chain innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with electrical distributors, OEMs, and channel partners. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to build targeted growth strategies. Develop and present business cases for new initiatives and partnerships.
Relationship Management
Build strong, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers across distributor and manufacturer accounts. Serve as the primary liaison between Waldom and partners in the electrical distribution ecosystem. Drive joint business planning initiatives to expand sales and market share.
Sales & Revenue Growth
Deliver against revenue and margin growth targets through new account acquisition and existing account expansion. Negotiate and close commercial agreements that support long-term business objectives. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful execution of customer programs.
Strategic Execution
Support Waldom's broader strategy by driving adoption of its supply chain and value-added services. Provide feedback to internal teams on market needs, product opportunities, and service improvements. Represent Waldom at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain, or a related field; MBA a plus. 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or channel management within the electrical distribution or electrical products industry. Strong knowledge of the electrical distribution channel, including key players, key suppliers, market dynamics, and go-to-market models. Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close complex agreements. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Results-driven mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel as required. Here's a Few Things We Offer You
