We’re looking for a dedicated Production Lead to support production operations and guide team members at our Green Bay, WI plant.
Schedule:
1st Shift - Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Occasional overtime based on business and production needs

Summary:
Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Production Lead works closely with the employees on their team to drive the performance of the line to achieve our OEE standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Provides direction to team members including but not limited to:
Proper line set-up
Paperwork verification
Job responsibilities
Work area cleanliness
Safe job performance
Quality of production
Provides direction to idle employees during downtime
Completes and/or audits paperwork submitted by employees
Calls maintenance and warehouse for appropriate equipment or supply issues
Leads the department by example
Provides supervisor with creative ideas to solve existing and potential opportunities for improvement (safety, quality, and productivity)
Accepts responsibility for delegated tasks assigned by Supervisor
Operates machines proficiently and is willing and able to learn additional machinery as needed
Participates in at least one continuous improvement team for their line per year
Uses fundamental levels of email and computer entry software. Ability to learn basics of the SAP system.
Coordinates smooth shift transitions
Accurate inventory control of all packaging materials and finished goods pallets
Assists Supervisor to drive and test process improvements
Coordinates projects such as sorting and rework
Inspects all machinery after sanitation to ensure they are clean and assembled completely and correctly
Completes daily productivity reporting
Provides breaks to employees on the line
Operates hand jack (after certification)
Follows all safety protocols
Participates in the Safety Committee
All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
At least 1 year experience as a Production Lead working in a food manufacturing environment or experience working at the company for at least 6 months required
Skills and Competencies
Ability to read, comprehend, and accurately follow documents such as ingredient information and batch records
Strong attention to detail
Basic proficiency in math for measuring and recording ingredients
Ability to use basic computer software systems (E21) to input and retrieve data
Ability to apply practical problem-solving skills and follow detailed instructions in both written and verbal formats
Ability to use sound judgement to handle routine issues within a standardized environment
Proactively identify safety and GMP opportunities
Requires forklift certification
