Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Overview Role: CV Invasive Rad Tech Shift: 4x10 Days (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) On-Call: Approximately 10 call shifts/month (Mon–Fri 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM) Weekend call Sat–Sun 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM Holidays covered by call (7a–7a) Guaranteed Hours: 40/week Start Date: ASAP Facility / Unit Info Unit: Cath Lab & IR Suites/Labs: 7 total (2 cath labs, 5 IR rooms, 2 holding bays) Average Cases/Day: 2–9 (avg. 4–5) Team Model: 3-person team (2 RNs, 1 Tech) Charge Nurse: Resource nurse helps with assignments but may take cases Common Cases: Cardiac (PCI, diagnostic cath, pacemakers, devices), peripheral vascular; ICDs, pacers. No EP/ablations. Special Equipment: Acist injector (will train), IABP, IVUS. Tele: Phillips, hardwired at bedside Vents: Managed by RT (RT pulled from ICU if needed) Pharmacy: 24/7; Omnicell access Requirements Experience: Minimum 2 years experience Certifications (Rad Tech): ARRT (R), WV state license, BLS, ACLS RCIS not accepted (must be ARRT due to WV requirements) Travel Experience: Preferred License Rule: Driver’s license must show address 50 miles away COVID Vaccine: Required (exemptions must go through approval committee) Orientation / Training Orientation: 2 shifts with a preceptor “buddy call” before independent call Scrubs: Provided (Techs = Burgundy) Floating: May float to Non-Invasive Cardiology to start IVs Notes Travel teams must be submitted together.
