international automotive parts manufacturing company
is actively seeking a
Assistant Plant Manager
who has experience in engineering management in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities of Assistant Plant Manager
Monitor general direction of the plant and provide business plan, strategies, plant budget, etc
Manage team of department managements for all production functions from safety, cost-effective, and production-effective perspectives
Oversee the current production performance and facilitate kaizen projects
Ensure compliance with all IATF, ISO requirements, as well as federal, state, local regulations
Manage and coordinate production lines, communicate with production management team
Ensure the plant follows established systems, procedures, methods, and controls
Monitor customer releases and production schedules to maximize efficiency and timely delivery of products
Plan and direct production activities based on weekly requirements
Perform preventive maintenance checks and 5S practices
Assist in resolution of production issues involving vendors, customers, quality representatives, and other personnel
Assist with business plan and operations budget
Maintain a safe working environment
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of Assistant Plant Manager
5-7 years of experience in plant management
10+ years of experience in automotive parts manufacturing plant
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience or equivalent experience
Strong leadership skills in a team environment and skills to bring a positive atmosphere to the team
Ability to be flexible to work effectively with a wide variety of people and to work responsibly and effectively in a multicultural environment
Excellent communication (Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening) and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task and perform duties time efficiently
Team-worker, Detail-oriented, Responsible, Punctual, Self-motivated
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
