Overview We are seeking a

Dietary Clerk,

sometimes referred to as Café Worker, Food Service Associate or Dietary Aide. The Dietary Aide will work in our hospital cafeteria, responsible for preparing, serving, and delivering meals, ensuring food safety and cleanliness, and adhering to dietary guidelines. They support patient nutrition, healthcare hospitality, serve staff and visitors, maintain kitchen equipment and inventory, and contribute to overall food service operations in our hospital. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

** If you have experience as a hospital dietary aide (Food Service Associate) with food service in a healthcare setting / healthcare hospitality you are encouraged to apply! **

Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

Assists patients with menu selections; collects 80% of menus/patient selections in a timely manner

Prepares late trays taking into consideration presentation, timeliness (within 30 minutes of request) and correct diet

Schedules nourishments according to established meal patterns

Updates and maintains Kardex/computer system with pertinent information for the service of patient diets and meals

Checks tray line for menu and diet accuracy, correcting any errors that are discovered

Heads and tallies patient menus or uses a computer system to check for accuracy in patient menus and tallies

Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

AA degree in Food Science/Nutrition preferred.

One (1) year of healthcare experience working with modified diets preferred.

County Specific requirement.

County Specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and maintained current
