is currently seeking candidates for an
Operations/Plant Manager
role in Ponca City. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities: · Oversee daily plant operations to ensure production goals for quality, safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness are met. · Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and staff to foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. · Develop and implement production schedules, policies, and procedures to optimize workflow and minimize downtime. · Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency and make data-driven decisions. · Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and environmental standards. · Manage plant budgets, control costs, and oversee capital improvement projects. · Coordinate with supply chain, quality assurance, maintenance, and engineering to ensure smooth operations across departments. · Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and increase productivity. · Represent the facility in corporate meetings and act as the primary point of contact for plant-related matters.
Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field ; equivalent experience will be considered. · Minimum of 5–7 years of plant or operations management experience in a manufacturing environment. · Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. · Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality management systems. · Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is a plus. · Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels. ·
Candidates must live within 30 minutes of the plant or be willing to relocate within 6 months of employment. Relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate.
