CBIZ' Trade Remedies Group, the premier trade remedies consulting group, is seeking an economic export to practice before the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Essential Functions & Primary Duties

Participation in Import Injury Investigations (including antidumping and countervailing duty ("AD/CVD") investigations and five-year reviews of existing AD/CVD orders, and global safeguard investigations) before the U.S. International Trade Commission ("USITC"). Supervise or assist in supporting our law firm client's involvement in Import Injury Investigations on behalf of their clients, including but not limited to:

Coordination with law firm clients and the industries/companies they support. Developing the theory of the case, presentations, data, and analysis supporting the interests of our law firm clients' clients. Providing factual and analytical input for all stages of Import Injury Investigations.

Economic & Industry Analysis:

Conduct assessments of material injury and threat of material injury to U.S. domestic industries from allegedly unfair trade practices (imports sold below fair value or benefiting from countervailable subsidies). Evaluate industry data: production, capacity utilization, sales, imports and exports, apparent consumption, market share, profitability, price under/overselling employment, and capital expenditures.

Data Collection & Verification:

Assist with developing responses to USITC questionnaires. Compile data based on proprietary U.S. producers', importers', purchasers', and foreign producers' responses submitted to the USITC. Prepare summary statistics and presentation materials based on the compiled data in consultation with attorneys and other analysts.

Litigation & Expert Testimony:

Work with legal team, economists, company officials, and other industry participants to:

Develop economic and factual arguments; Prepare expert testimony and economic arguments supported by underlying data; Ensure accurate and comprehensive supporting data.

Policy & Compliance Guidance:

Advise on trade remedy procedures, compliance, and possible implications of USITC decisions. Support strategy for navigating the U.S. AD/CVD process or responding to international complaints.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD or Master's degree in Economics or Statistics, or CPA (or equivalent certification) Deep understanding of trade laws (Tariff Act of 1930, Trade Act of 1974, WTO rules, etc.) Strong background in economics, statistics, or international trade policy Familiarity with USITC and Commerce Department procedures Excellent analytical, modeling, and report-writing skills Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required 8 years of experience in public accounting, economics, or related field 5 years supervisory experience Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally Proficient use of applicable technology Must be able to travel based on business needs

The annual salary target for this job in this market is $140,000 - $180,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
