Job Summary
Position responsible for performing complex and diversified administrative duties for a department.
The Lead Office Assistant will be stationed at the department's front desk. Their primary responsibilities encompass answering telephone calls, documenting meeting minutes, maintaining organized and current files, procuring office supplies, and coordinating departmental activities. The position requires strong communication skills, computer competency, multitasking abilities, and the ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Prior Authorizations

Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30 am - 5:00 pm)

Minimum Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma preferred Licenses/Certifications:
(None) Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Five (5) years of clerical experience, with at least three (3) years directly related to the assignment Some supervisory skills are preferred Principal Accountabilities Develops and produces reports, letters, memoranda, minutes and other departmental correspondence. Maintains and updates departmental files. Ensures the timeliness and proper distribution of reports and other communications for area of responsibility. Orients and trains employees regarding system and hospital policies and procedures. Identifies and responds to problems with appropriate action and follow-up. Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experience staff. Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues. Other duties as assigned.
