About the Role
We are looking for an innovative and dynamic Director to spearhead our fundraising and community leadership initiatives. As the chief fundraising strategist, you will focus on cultivating individual donors, enhancing stewardship, and implementing major giving strategies. This role is highly relational and community-centered, requiring effective engagement with a diverse array of stakeholders, including individual donors, philanthropic partners, local nonprofits, civic leaders, volunteers, and board members.
Your key responsibilities will include leading the execution of our strategic plan, serving as a vital communicator across board committees, and providing regular updates on organizational progress and community impact. You will maintain the donor database, collaborate on event sponsorships, and ensure that mission-focused messaging is consistent across all platforms.
To excel in this role, candidates should possess a proven record in fundraising, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage various projects within a small team environment. Strategic thinking, a commitment to community-driven results, and a passion for becoming a part of the local community are essential. This position also entails overseeing grantmaking processes, managing team members, and ensuring strict financial oversight and compliance.
The ideal candidate will exhibit a collaborative leadership style and have experience working with volunteer-led boards or committees. This is a full-time position that may require occasional evening and weekend availability, and is based in the local community.
