Full Time Food Service Worker

Team members in Dining Services play an essential role in ensuring high-quality food production, delivery, sanitation, and customer service across our food service locations. Depending on the position, you may provide frontline service, support daily operations, lead team members, or oversee an entire shift. All roles work collaboratively to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Key responsibilities will vary based on role assignment and may include: Assist in the preparation, assembly, and delivery of food items Maintain quality, safety, and temperature standards Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner Clean and sanitize equipment, surfaces, and dining areas Follow proper food handling and hygiene protocols Adhere to food safety standards, departmental procedures, and regulatory requirements Report safety concerns or equipment issues promptly Supervise and guide team members during assigned shifts Delegate tasks to ensure smooth operation of service areas Coordinate with other departments and management to meet performance goals Engage with guests courteously and efficiently Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and support staff Required for all roles: Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize responsibilities Physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks Excellent interpersonal and communication skills A positive attitude and dedication to providing outstanding customer service Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Additional requirements for leadership roles: Experience in food service, retail, or a related field; supervisory experience preferred Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated ability to motivate, direct, and train team members Working knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices (e.g., HACCP guidelines) Preferred qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (all roles) Culinary or supervisory experience (all roles) Familiarity with computerized management tools and record-keeping systems (leadership roles) Pay band: 1 Overtime status: Non-Exempt: Eligible for overtime Appointment type: Regular Salary information: Salary range $33,800 - $38,480/year based on position Hours per week: 40 Review date: Open until filled Additional information: The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
