Overview
Convergint Federal (CF) seeks a customer-centric Service Account Specialist to support and drive sales growth for our federal security solutions business, delivering mission-critical services to our clients. The role focuses on developing a deep understanding of our service business and ensuring our clients receive exceptional support. This role will require proactive client engagement, promoting the Convergint Service Plans (CSP), managing adds/moves/changes/upgrades (AMCU), and processing GSA Advantage Portal orders. The Service Account Specialist will maintain comprehensive account data, provide actionable insights to Sales, Operations, and Service teams, and identify opportunities to enhance client mission support. The person in this role must provide world-class service to customers, colleagues, and communities. It requires integrity, self-accountability, open communication, delivering results and a collaborative mindset. The position is intended to grow with the company as an exceptional Federal Account Executive I Proactive Growth. Responsibilities
Conduct personalized outreach via email, phone, and meetings to re-engage clients, solicit feedback, and sell additional services, ensuring exceptional customer service. Achieve revenue and margin targets by promoting CSP, AMCU, and Supply orders, targeting active, inactive, and underserved accounts. Maintain a master database of clients, contracts, and financials using i-Care Federal and Excel, sharing insights with Operations and Service for customer management and labor forecasting. Monitor and process GSA box sale orders, verifying accuracy, coordinating with suppliers, ensuring receipt and billings, and ensuring client satisfaction. Analyze contract and T&M rates and communicate plans to provide better service through CSPs and optimal service rates. Deliver monthly Excel reports and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to the Director of Sales, with data shared to support operational efficiency and forecasting. Use data, deductive reasoning, and client feedback to identify process and communication improvement opportunities. Other duties assigned within reason of the current role. Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent 3+ years in the electronic security industry (e.g., intrusion detection, video surveillance, access control), with proven success on a service, sales or account management team. Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting revenue and margin targets. Proficiency in service or account management systems, Excel, and data analysis for actionable insights. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a customer service mentality aligned with a customer-first ethos. Self-starter with a proactive approach, embodying ownership of the role. Deductive reasoning and problem-solving to identify client mission needs and improvement opportunities. Ability to work independently and collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Service teams. Familiarity with federal contracting (e.g., GSA schedules) and GSA Advantage Portal preferred. Requirements
