Senior Analyst, HR Data Governance
Acosta Group is seeking a Senior Analyst, HR Data Governance to join the dynamic HR Data and Analytics team. This role will support the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of HR and payroll data across the organization. This role will collaborate with HR, IT, and data engineering teams to implement data governance frameworks, resolve data quality issues, and enhance data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in HR data systems, data governance principles, and cross-functional collaboration. Ideal candidates will be local to an Acosta Group Hub in either Jacksonville, FL or Lewisville, TX. This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship (H1, F1, EAD, OPT). Data Quality & Governance: Monitor data feeds and reports to identify anomalies, gaps, and inconsistencies. Document and track data quality issues, root causes, and remediation plans for business visibility using methods like data quality scorecards and dashboards. Define and enforce data quality rules, thresholds, and validation checks. Collaborate with data owners in Business and IT to implement corrective actions and process improvements. Maintain data quality dashboards and scorecards for business visibility. Manage and maintain HR business glossary definitions, ownership, etc. Collaborate with business units and data stewards to define authoritative data sources. Support master data management (MDM) and reference data processes. Collaboration & Communication: Actively participate in data governance council meetings and cross-functional working groups. Build awareness of critical data elements and foster stakeholder engagement. Provide training and guidance on data governance policies and practices. Metadata & Business Glossary: Develop and maintain HR business glossary definitions and metadata repositories. Support master data and reference data management initiatives. Define authoritative data sources and ensure alignment across systems. Qualifications
Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Management, Human Resources, or a related field. Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent certification preferred. Experience: Three (3) or more years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data analytics. Two (2) or more years working with HRIS platforms (e.g., Oracle, Workday), payroll systems, and HR data. One (1) year or more years of experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Azure, AWS). Two (2) years or more of experience in data validation, auditing, and profiling large datasets. Experience working Data Quality Analysis, Data Management, Data Governance, Data Analytics or similar. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing data. Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and automation. Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Talend). Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik). Understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM). Awareness of data privacy laws and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to perform root cause analysis and drive issue resolution.
