Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist - Weekend Option
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Weekend Option performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans using a magnetic field and radio waves to capture images of patients' internal bodies. These scans assist in diagnosing conditions affecting soft tissues, such as tumors or brain disorders. The role involves accurate image acquisition and collaboration with the medical team to provide comprehensive diagnostic information for patient care. This position offers a weekend option, requiring staff to commit to WEO requirements and work two shifts within the WEO window for a premium rate. Responsibilities
Operate high field strength magnets and related equipment to produce specialized radiographic images of specific body parts. Review and assess patient medical histories to determine appropriate imaging parameters for accurate results. Operate and maintain advanced MRI equipment, adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular maintenance checks to ensure precise and reliable imaging. Collaborate with medical professionals during MRI procedures, providing real-time imaging support for accurate positioning and optimal image quality. Record and document all MRI scans and related information in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), verify charges, and address discrepancies to ensure smooth workflow. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging, or related educational program. Experience: Relevant experience as determined by the employer. Licensure/Certification/Registry: Required: ARRT (MR), MRI Technologist ARMRIT(MR), or equivalent certification such as BLS (CPR) from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
