Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced AI Product Leader to act as the crucial bridge between our quantitative research, trading, and engineering functions for our premier quantitative investment firm client. This is a strategic, revenue-focused leadership position. You will be the ""senior user"" and business owner for the most critical AI and ML-driven trading components, responsible for defining the vision and roadmap for technologies that directly generate P&L. Your deep domain expertise will be essential in prioritizing research, challenging assumptions, and ensuring investments in Large Language Models, Neural networks, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning are commercially impactful and aligned with the core trading objectives. Responsibilities
Product Vision & Strategy: Define and own the product vision and strategic roadmap for the firm's AI-driven alpha research and trading execution platform. Alpha & Execution Focus: Work directly with Portfolio Managers, Quantitative Researchers, and Traders to identify, validate, and prioritize high-impact AI/ML opportunities in signal generation (alpha) and trade execution. Business Leadership: Act as the primary ""business lead"" for AI initiatives. Develop robust business cases, define success metrics (e.g., Sharpe ratio, capacity, P&L impact), and own the commercial outcome of deployed models. Requirements Definition: Translate complex trading needs into precise, actionable requirements and user stories for quantitative researchers and AI engineers. Your specifications will drive the development of neural networks on tick data, RL execution agents, and other predictive models. Stakeholder Management: Serve as the central liaison between research, trading, and technology teams. Facilitate communication, manage expectations, and ensure strategic alignment across all stakeholders. Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor KPIs to rigorously evaluate the commercial success and health of live AI trading components. Qualifications
10+ years of experience in a revenue-generating role within quantitative finance (e.g., Quantitative Researcher, Trader, Execution Strategist) at a leading hedge fund, prop trading firm, or investment bank. Deep fluency in Artificial intelligence and Machine learning concepts, particularly
Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI,
Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and their application to financial markets . You must be able to challenge and debate technical approaches with PhD-level researchers. A proven track record of developing or directly utilizing quantitative strategies that have generated significant P&L. Knowledge of market microstructure, tick data, and the end-to-end Quantitative trading lifecycle (backtesting, simulation, live deployment, and risk management). Demonstrated experience transitioning into a
product, strategy, or business leadership
role where you were responsible for prioritizing a roadmap based on economic value. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and influence senior-level decision-makers. Advanced degree (PhD or MSc) in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
