Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Location: 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, New York, United States of America, 14642 Opening: Regular Time Type: Full time Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Department: 500252 Imaging Sciences-Angio Work Shift: UR - Day (United States of America) Range: UR URCE 213 H Compensation Range: $33.00 - $42.90 Responsibilities

Responsible for setting up interventional radiology (IR) rooms specific to the study being conducted. Utilizes customer service skills while interacting with patients as well as family members to create a caring atmosphere during their visit. Progresses towards proficient and competent performance with regards to interventional procedures, fluoroscopy room equipment, digital subtraction, inventory, power injections and post processing tools. Essential Functions

Prepares room and patient specific to the exam to be performed. Arranges equipment, trays, supplies, position patients, and determine proper exposure factors to produce a high quality image. Utilizes electronic patient information systems to verify patient name, date, appropriate exam, and any special exam specific comments from the provider. Understands and practices the Dual patient identifier procedure. Observes each patient's status and interprets appropriate information needed to meet age-specific needs. Transfers patients to and from imaging tables using assistive devices such as ARJO lift, transferboards, hover mats. Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly identifying images and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly. Completes and bills for studies accurately. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Education & Experience

Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology required Or equivalent combination of education and experience 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred Licenses And Certifications
