HGA is seeking a Sr. E&I Designer to support operations in Ruston, Louisiana. This Sr. E&I Designer is responsible for leading the design efforts for projects in support of a Lead Engineer. An emphasis will be placed on communication with Lead Engineer on a regular basis. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of project staff or management, overall production of deliverables and delegation of assignments to designers and/or drafters to meet project schedules.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the design efforts for project(s) assigned. Lead production of design deliverables based on discussions with Lead Engineer and/or project team. Give input for status of project deliverables with regards to man-hour forecasts, resource needs and schedule. Managing production of design deliverables in accordance with HGA workflow and project schedule. Reviewing vendor documentation and adjusting design as appropriate to match equipment and materials being supplied. Assist with development of construction cost (TIC) estimates. Assist with development of engineering and design budgets for proposals. Engage in inter-discipline communications such as, squad checks, interference identification, equipment layout and general design coordination. Compliance Check work of others to assist E&I Department with issuing drawing packages. Make site visits, as required, for project data collection to aid in design and engineering calculations. Perform engineering/design support task, as required, such as assembling document packages, making copies, making PDF files from .dwg files, etc. Qualifications:

Electrical Engineering Technology Degree, Instrumentation Technology Degree or equivalent education/experience 8+ years of experience in a design role required Knowledge of CAD software and engineering design software Proficient in use of MS Office Products Preferred Qualifications:
