Overview
Business Systems Analyst III/IV (Digital Payments/ACH) at Navy Federal Credit Union. Coordinates and conducts highly complex system analyses, feasibility studies, and implementation studies of potential computer applications to determine advisability and profitability of adaptations to Navy Federal functional areas. Develops and implements solutions that leverage systems and processes, working with the business to understand needs related to information technology and enhance business processes by promoting new functionality. Oversees full lifecycle project implementation and serves as a key stakeholder on highly complex systems projects and project teams. Evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness Analyze information, requirements, data, work quality, work methods, processes, service practices, standards and metrics/statistics Use elicitation techniques to gather information at the right level of detail to represent stakeholder needs Define and document technical design for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and OS environment, interfaces with other systems, and controls Supervise modeling efforts to ensure specifications meet mathematical and statistical standards Identify business requirements (needs, objectives, functions, features, inputs/outputs) Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis using various techniques, tools and models Develop and document workflow adjustments to streamline processes Coordinate integration of solutions with existing applications; resolve conflicts for compatibility Maintain understanding of industry standards, best practices, and technology used in related business areas to ensure compliance Participate in cross-organizational task groups concerning new automated systems, products and services Plan, coordinate, and rollout software changes/releases to testing and production; obtain required approvals Interact with ISD staff and business units to resolve problems Use performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and develop improvement plans Partner with business units and vendors to improve procedures and implement initiatives; present conclusions and recommendations Implement new/enhanced products and operational changes Identify and communicate key responsibilities and practices; provide leadership to ensure successful implementation Lead project teams; ensure quality, performance, and adherence to schedules Interpret results of analysis and present recommendations Serve as a resource for complex problem resolution Mentor less experienced staff Write requirements and define editorial workflow for business-owner projects Serve as change management lead; develop strategies including stakeholder analysis and change roadmaps Develop and oversee project plans and roadmaps; remediate control deficiencies Ensure controls are identified and documented Develop test plans, criteria, scenarios and documentation; ensure acceptance of delivered solutions Facilitate user acceptance testing and document results Apply and communicate changes and new trends in systems/technology Represent the business unit in identifying and communicating system solutions Conduct root cause analysis and recommend solutions Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business goals Monitor system performance for continued efficiency Collaborate with partners in development and delivery of solutions Qualifications
Extensive experience in problem resolution including root cause, scope and impact Extensive experience in statistics, math techniques, forecasting, cost-benefit analysis and analytics Experience in leading collaborative teams and large projects with business risk Ability to manage multiple priorities independently or in a team Expert knowledge of data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis and operations research Experience in leading, guiding and coaching professional staff Experience researching and documenting data, business processes and workflows Experience in market/consumer research, project management, and strategic planning Extensive experience in SQL and VBA Knowledge of Navy Federal Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and policies/procedures Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation software Ability to identify and analyze business requirements and propose solutions Master's Degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of training, education and experience Hours
