Job Description
The Associate Account Manager collaborates with the region's Senior Account Manager, Account Managers, and District Sales Manager to enhance customer service and streamline sales activities. This entry-level role focuses on managing prioritized leads and accounts, providing problem-solving solutions for current ArcBest customers, and engaging in prospecting efforts to attract new clients. It offers valuable hands-on experience and develops essential sales skills, contributing to customer satisfaction and business growth. Responsibilities
Conduct outbound call and email campaigns, including cold calling. Maintain accurate territory account information in system databases. Support company pricing initiatives through communication with customers. Assist the Sales Team with customer support as needed. Support and manage multiple accounts over long periods and diverse circumstances. Coordinate with service centers to rescue distressed shipments, identify root causes, and determine reasons for rescue. Perform sales activities across various product lines and markets. Act as a liaison with Yield and other internal departments. Conduct on-site visits to present ArcBest solutions as needed. Assist in collection processes and cargo claim prevention. Communicate clearly with clients regarding expectations of all parties. Complete expense reports, itineraries, customer, and call reports as per company guidelines. Adapt products or features to meet unusual customer needs. Participate in other duties and projects as assigned. Observe and accompany Account Managers and District Sales Managers to learn sales techniques and relationship-building strategies. Maintain rapport by communicating in a manner suited to each prospect's style. Use internal and external data to prioritize opportunities. Manage and update Salesforce reports and other required reports. Participate in negotiating business terms. Complete sales and performance reports as instructed or required. Support a diverse range of customers across different industries. Create a customer-obsessed sales environment and culture. Regularly update the team on account statuses. Collaborate with departments to handle various tasks. Qualify opportunities related to new and existing leads. Manage active loads and provide proactive communication to customers. Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's Degree preferred Experience:
Related sales and supply chain experience preferred Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of business solutions and competitors; willingness to relocate Competencies:

Work Hours:
