Position: CT Technologist II
The CT Technologist II performs imaging studies of various parts of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injury. What you will do in this role
Position and prepare patients for exams according to the type of procedure Perform procedures and monitor patients, responding to needs as appropriate Complete appropriate documentation for each study Perform computer and PACS functions Observe safety regulations and aseptic practices to protect patients and staff Demonstrate knowledge of Universal protocols Use professional judgment and critical thinking when performing procedures Participate in orientation and training of new staff and instruct students during clinical rotations Operate radiation-producing equipment and apply radiation-protection techniques for radiographs in environments including Fluoroscopy, Operating Room, Emergency Department, and portable exams Operate equipment and perform advanced competencies in at least 2 of the following: mammography, DEXA, fluoroscopy, pediatric fluoroscopy, OR general c-arm, OR advanced technologies and procedures (including hybrid-OR, mobile CT, robotic spine cases, and advanced orthopedics) Perform computed radiography functions throughout the medical center Performs all other duties as assigned Qualifications
Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Current advanced CT registry Certification as a Radiologic Technologist by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts within 90 days of hire Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross – Healthcare Provider CPR Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology One year of experience in an Imaging Department We are an equal opportunity employer.
