Overview
AST Next Generation Network Account Manager (Remote DMV) Fairwinds Technologies Role: AST Next Generation Network Account Manager (Remote DMV) Base pay range: $200,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr The role focuses on leading strategic sales efforts related to AST SpaceMobile opportunities and the broader Non-Terrestrial Network ecosystem, driving adoption of Fairwinds hybrid terrestrial-satellite communications solutions, including ruggedized broadband terminals, sovereign 5G NTN hubs, and Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) offerings. This role is remote for the DC, Maryland, Virginia area with travel 20% - 50%. Responsibilities
Working with a world-class technical team, develop and execute a targeted sales strategy for AST SpaceMobile-related products and services, including: Militarized AST Broadband Devices AST Tactical Hub Systems Global Private 5G + NTN Services Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across: AST SpaceMobile and other Low Earth Orbit providers U.S. Armed Services including Space Force, Air Force, Army and Navy DISA Lead sales efforts for FAR-based as well as commercial opportunities aligned with the AST Space Mobile platform and NTN deployments Conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis Analyze data to identify sales opportunities Provide recommendations for promotional ideas and materials Attend trade shows and industry conventions Collaborate with engineering and product teams to tailor solutions to customer mission needs Represent Fairwinds at industry events, demos, and briefings focused on NTN, 5G, and Low Earth Orbit technologies Maintain pipeline and reporting in Salesforce; forecast revenue and track KPIs Qualifications
BA/BS degree required; technical or business discipline preferred 7+ years of experience selling advanced communications solutions to DoD or federal agencies Proven success in selling SATCOM, 5G, or NTN-related technologies Familiarity with AST SpaceMobile, and direct-to-device satellite architecture Familiarity with DoD modernization priorities Experience with federal procurement processes, including OTA, SBIR, and IDIQ vehicles Strong executive presence and ability to influence C-level and executive stakeholders Ability to translate technical capabilities into mission impact and ROI Comfortable navigating complex sales cycles and multi-stakeholder environments Prior experience with Space Force, DIU, or DISA programs Familiarity with Cellular standards like 3GPP, Open RAN, and Military 5G Waveform (M5GW) technologies Familiarity with Fairwinds product ecosystem, including Mixed Signal platforms and NaaS offerings Experience with spectrum policy, NTIA/FCC coordination, and spectrum operations initiatives Compensation and Benefits
