Onsite Bedford Park
Days/Hours:
Saturdays, 8:00 am 3:00 pm Responsibilities
Pre-screening for radiographic exam and documenting patient medical history prior to examination Sterilize and maintain X-ray equipment; maintain cleanliness of rooms and stock supplies Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties and explaining the imaging process Position patients correctly to obtain accurate imaging Administer aseptic injection technique for contrast Document radiological services by accurately recording data in the patients chart Communicate medical data, patient history and related information to the appropriate physician Provide education, training, and direction to new technologists Ensure quality standards are met and promote continuous quality improvement As directed by department standards and radiologist protocols, perform imaging procedures in a timely and efficient manner Perform all other duties as assigned Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance Ability to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions Qualities You Should Possess
Quick, accurate decision making Ability to perform effectively under stress in a fast-paced environment Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized Technical proficiency and extensive knowledge in radiologic technology Effective, composed communication to address patient questions Interpersonal skills with a patient-focused attitude and sensitivity to care Education, Experience & Requirements
Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program ARRT registered in radiography Ability to learn and operate DEXA equipment; training will be provided Previous experience favorable in a diagnostic radiology/imaging setting Proficiency running advanced X-ray studies independently IEMA licensure CPR-BLS Certification Benefits & Perks
